Monroeville - Diary of the Dead

Post by Dog Pants »

Today Urban Dead went all Hollywood, and to advertise the new Diary of the Dead film, they've added another 'instance' in the Pennsylvania town of Monroeville. There's a few new features apparently, such as a video camera to diary your fight for survival. Oh, and you can't be revived once you're a zombie. This is going to be tough...

Seems like it's only running for two weeks too. I've logged in and I've only seen a few people, but I reckon the zombie hordes will be beating down the cades soon enough. Anery and I are fleeing the starting area before it turns into a zombie magnet.

We really should just live up to our fame and generate a few zombies in Archway Mall if you know what I mean.

Or try to repair our image as being fluffy by not acting like cocks.

So far Anerysthic has been unable to do anything apart from slap a zombie in the face. Found lots of fields and woods and it's looking like my intestines will be used for spaghetti fairly soon

No one can barricade yet, that's quite amusing.

There seems to be a few zombies kicking about now. I've got lots of ammo but no weapons, and I've lost Anery. I'm hoping that the zeds haven't had much chance to get XP and so aren't going to be very effective yet.

I'm in St. julian's hospital, Central Monroeville, seems to be about 12 spaces west of the east wall.

Ah, it's not finished yet and I can't see where I am. I'm in a police station on the edge of some woods at the moment, so I reckon I'm on the south east edge of the town. After that (Anery's been scouting) it's all fields.

There are a few buildings that might make some good 5punk holes.

In Northeast Monroeville there is:
Kuntz Street Firestation
Club McWhinney

Dog Pants spotted:
The Pink Building in Central West.

My scouting revealed fields in far SE I have since headed slightly west and now heading north, running away from a few zombies I have spotted.

I found and stabbed a zombie earlier. First one I've seen in a while. I'm making my way up to the Pink Building, but I can't find it again.

A damn sight easier to find than the Pink building too, but for this reason I think that the latter is a better place. It's so anonymous I'm struggling to find it, so the zeds have no chance.
