LANs!

Post by TezzRexx »

Just throwing it out there but... it's been a long time since we did a LAN!

Would people even still be interested in one, or even able to commit to one?

Yeah, I was looking a little while back for venues, but I'm not sure where to start.

I wouldn't mind trying to organise a BrumLAN with you, Tezz, if you fancy some help.

For what it's worth I'm itching to get to a few bashes/beards/LANs, but it's going to be difficult for a while yet.

The GTLAN is still running, and that is in Brum, might be able to arrange something with them? Or were you thinking 5punkers only?

Yar! It's been yonks!
My house is too tiny for any serious lannage, but my folks are away for the 28-29th sept weekend or 5-6th oct weekend - could perhaps sort out an old-skool proflan then if there is interest?

Does i-series count? if so that is held at Telford and there have been some mumblings from myself and Bits about going to the winter one (last weekend in November - payday weekend no less!) although I will be doing three things differently this time around:

1. Watching more of the tournaments on the stage, watched the last CS:S final and really enjoyed it - and I hate CS, but the company and the commentators really made it - plus Prof was on hand to answer dumb questions.
2. Not drinking as much on the Friday so I actually see daylight on Saturday.
3. Staying in a fucking hotel so that if I forget miss #2 (highly likely) I might actually get out of bed for a hot shower rather than cowering in my tent too afraid to brave the freezing porta showers.
