Not a Bash

Post by Anery »

My missus has been called back to the mothership to go and do the family thing with the rest of the clan, this means that I have been left in charge of the house for a week or so. So I am not holding a bash.
Mr Pants will be up here for some beers and possibly some beardieness and I was wondering if any of you bummers would be up for it? If enough folks are up for it then it might turn into a bash but I can hardly be blamed for that now can I?
Would be the weekend of the 6th Sept and I live just outside Darlington - not actually in Darlo anymore, thankfully - happy to pick anyone up from railway station if needed.

September you say? That's quite far away so maybe, just maybe. Probably not though.

Most probably a yes. Dunno about beers but I'd like to make my first foray into bearding, if you could accommodate. Plus meeting more of you fine fine people of course.

Actually, Sprog might be back at school by then, which would make life a lot more difficult. I'll get Mrs Pants to find out.

Bit awkward. My folks have got their only weekend holiday this weekend too, so its the only available brum bash date. I don't wanna tread on your feet and organise it without asking first if you're still planning on doing it? There's always next year if it's a go!

I sent you a message on steam earlier, not sure if you got it.
I don't see a problem with having Grim Bash at the same time, lets be honest - we can't have a year and no Grim Bash, folks will die of withdrawal.
Mine was always going to be a weekend of tabletop/board gaming with lots of alcohol so not really the same kind of bash, I can't leave because of the animals - one cat, three ferrets and a snake in case any body is allergic or wussy.

I'm pretty sure we can do some web-cam link up like eurovision or something?

This is rather surprising.

Odd that the Google car should choose such an epic time to visit, but that's my car on the drive of the nice lady opposite to Grimbash who offered to let me park there. I'd guess around midday on the Sunday.

My car's also now visible on a near-empty shot of my street, probably late morning or early afternoon, which must have been the following Monday - as I'm normally at work, but took a day off to unwind and catch up on sleep.

As it is nearly two months away I have put up a poll to see how many folks are still interested

Yes with the caveat that if Grimmie is doing a Brum Bash I will consider which is best for me on a few fronts.

This is a tentative yes for me. It's going to be a real headache to get the logistics working because Sprog is back at school, leaving Mrs Pants Sprog wrangling on her own all weekend, but I've been given permission so I'll be doing my damnedest to make it work.

This is looking somewhat promising for me, despite the pregnant missus. I'll be taking a few days off before and after to take the pressure off Mrs Pants, so I need to book the leave, but she's doing okay and seems fine about me going.
