I'm back! My thanks to Jugger (as ever) for the Lan and servers, to Jugs, Prof Hawking, Ty Sir Die Alot and Baity for helping me clean up - with the four of us only, it took a little while longer - didn't get out of there til quite a bit later then usual. M6 as a nightmare, so took a nice tour of places surrounding Birmingham *sigh*, til I saw signs to the city centre and back to Baity's place. Unloaded his kit, filled up on black coffee to see me through my journey home, which due to the lousy weather took me a good 40 minutes longer than usual! I've not unpacked the boot of my car - I'll do it tomorrow!

So, a packed and great Lan, lots and lots of new people. Here goes....

The Danish 4 - you came, you saw and you conquered. You travelled the furthest for us (that award normally goes to Psy) and although you seemed to leg it Sunday morning, I hope that you enjoyed your weekend as much as we did having you there.

Psy - You always support the GT Lan's and you spend hours in your car to come and usually beat everyone at Trackmania - you didn't say goodbye today, but with CATS beating everyone at Trackmania, your car problems and your PC probs too, perhaps you'd just had enough. Great to see you again.

Manix and Ma-Harg - Rob, you rock my site building world. You came and with Juggers help, we got the GT website live, and for the first time in over 4 years, we have a front end to GT - and together you both have continued to support GT Lan's. Hope you didn't mind 'working' this weekend and that you still had a good time too!

The KIA bunch, well spread out as you were round the room rather than all sat together, good to see lots of new faces, and of course the old familiar ones too. Hope you all had a good time and I'm am grateful for you all rallying round and choosing the GT Lan to congregate for your get together! Hope to see you at the next one.

To 5 Punks - what a charming bunch you all were! Look forward to seeing you all again soon….. Ty - you are a sweetheart and I loved the Mohican. It certainly looked a little worse for wear by Sunday. Prof and his webcam – refreshed more than the GT one, thanks for setting that up. Jock – you and your Tesco scotch formed a firm bond this weekend, and you clearly can sleep on a clothes line – or perhaps you just passed out twice! The other punks, I didn’t really speak to you much – Jamie – your new nick name is Vier!! Take it from me, ok!  Just suffice to say that it was great to meet all of you!

CATS and Hughsey, you two and trackmania will be the lasting memory of this Lan. That game is ever popular but CATS, you owned it and Hughsey – live with the defeat will you, man! CATS won overall, a fact I’m sure you won’t let me forget, bless ya, I believe you when you say you pawn that game. Hughsey, you don’t come with a volume control, and you know, you are fab. Your comments throughout the Lan had me laughing from my little corner!

Timo – you worked on the forum updates whilst at the Lan, Bless ya! Good to see you again, hun.

To everyone else – 2Drunk, RV, Dilbert, Kenny, Fatal, Shrubs, Timbo, Garpy (good to see you there mate, congrats on doing well in your last tourny) – I’m sorry if I haven’t named you all – I’m just delighted you all had a great time.

Baity – ready on time Friday – faithfully helped all weekend – and then kept me awake on my long journey home by chatting about bugger all on the phone – love you loads!!

Finally to Jugger, who dealt efficiently with two power outages whilst he spread the leccy evenly til it worked and kept it running the rest of the weekend – even with me plugging and unplugging my toaster, you did a fecking amazing job as usual. We make a great Lan team and long may it continue!

Thank y’all. See you next year!!

Righty-ho, just got back, nice holiday, 9.40am Friday till 7.15pm'ish Monday.

Had a good weekend, alot of it ressembles a drunken haze, but a good weekend, everyone was really friendly, lots of porn, good to meet the 5punk'ers I havn't met before. No idea what happened to our 7vs1 Quake 4 game :(

THe Drunken WOW'ers making my head expload on return from the Pub Saturday night, was very odd in my drunkeness, Never again, arghhhh - That was very confusing. But you all seemed to be having fun, so no harm done.

How come everyones Trackmania cars went faster, can you share your Hax please?

I would of liked to have seen some more all in games, the only one I saw was the Trackmania on Sunday (other than Eve), and that was only half the people. With 45 plus peopel you could get a nice Bf2 game or some Manic Q4/UT.

Highlights,

Dog Pant's Satureday monring Plumbing Extravaganza.

Jockgits Tesco value whisky sleeping.

The kickaround in the Coned off area on Saturday morning - including Scrambling over the Wall and almost getting run over.

Getting my arse kicked at every game I played.

People laughing at my Moey.

Lack of sleep, butalso my Keyboard nap on Saturday.

Watching what Pr0n people were elaching from me And the comments about my Music collection. Discovering Carcass - Thanks Baity/Guybrush.

My visit to the Glory Hole.

People that have never heard of b3ta.

Verdict

Whens the next one?? - See you there and I'll get practising at Trackmania.

Thank Yous

A big Thank you too, the 5punker's who came, good to see old faces aswell as new (hope you all had a good'un) Loxy, Baity & Guybrush for the running of the event.

And extra big thank you to Prof for the Lift and stuff.

Right now can't think of anything else except the big Chinese waiting in the fridge.

Glad it all went well, thanks for welcoming the 5punkers at the LAN, sounds like they had a great time.

I'm definitely up for attending one of these in the future, but probably not for a while as I'm busy decorating the house for a long time to come.

Anyways, thanks again to Loxy for sorting this out and helping every 5punker who attended :likesitall:

Thanks Loxy, Guybrush, Jugger and Ty for all making it come together.

The GT bunch were awesome, they like they're WoW don't they :P Saturday Night, the noise they made when they killed a boss or something... lol! Kinda amazing.

But yeah, much fun was had by all! Great meeting Jock, Jamie and Dogpants for the first time and it was great seeing Prof, Hulk and Ty again :)

I'll definitely try and make the next ones :D

Thanks again guys!

At last I have found time to get a post in...

Firstly, many thanks to Baitsy(Guybrush), and Loxy for organising such a fun event and for making us all feel very welcome, great atmosphere and I think everyone had a good time.

I would also like to thank all the 5punkers for not taking to much advantage of my Tesco Value induced Narcolepsy... I know I got off lightly there, and I can't get that fekkin Pirate song out of my head now..

Cheers Juggers for getting maintaining the Network and making it run so smoothly.

Was great to meet the 5punkers who have made me chortle so many times on these boards, Hopefully the rest of you will come along to the next one.

Once again thanks to all for organising the event (that includes you too Ty for organising it and our end).

Heres to GT11 and the 5punk Brum Lan... see you all there.

P.S. Loxy, I didn't manage to get a toastie in this time round, I'll get one at the next one.

edit** Thought I had better change the avatar in the circumstances... Yay for drunken pirates.
