Re: Necromunda
I'd feel a lot more optimistic if they did a Blood Bowl and stuck to the board game formula. 'Not nearly as shit as it was at release' isn't much of an accolade. We live in hope though. "Not nearly as shit" isn't how I meant that, I think it's actually a decent game. M:CotD isn't too far ...

Necromunda
A Necromunda game is coming to PC . It's from the guys behind Mordheim: City of the Damned. A game which was apparently pants on release, but by the time I came to play it 6-8 months later it had seen some massive changes due to community feedback, and is a game I actually quite enjoy. Got a few do...

Long War 2 mod is out.
It's been made by the guys behind Long War in conjunction with Firaxis. It changes a lot of stuff. Geoscape and all. I never played the original but it's considered very good. Will probably have a go with this over the weekend.

First of 2017!
xXx: Return of Xander Cage
An early entry but a strong contender for 2017's So bad it's good award
It is a terrible film, but I enjoyed it because of that and I most definitely do not regret seeing it.

Happy Bummas!
Lots of chocolate and biscuits, and a little bit of booze.
One of my brothers bought me some nice Chase potato vodka, sadly he decided, despite 29 years of knowing the contrary, that I liked rhubarb and bought a version flavoured with that.

Re: Movie mini reviews
There were a lot of call backs, however I think Rogue One gets a pass on them they're nearly all mostly in passing (one was obviously shoehorned in), most are blink and you'll miss them. Roman: Surprising as I thought the face CGI wasn't very good. Tarkin was okay, except for one bit when he smiles/...

Star Wars: Rogue One
It's rather good
I'm also somewhat certain that Forest Whitaker has borrowed a set of armour from Fallout's Brotherhood of Steel

Re: New season talk type thread thing.
One for Berk probably. It's the other three Mythbusters doing a show together, produced by the same production studio behind the original show. I think it looks quite promising:

Re: Deathwing
I would have thought someone else would have posted something about the beta, as I know a few of us have it and I've seen at least Pnut having a bash on it. All I'll say for now is don't buy it yet . It was never going be redefining the genre, but it's got potential as some things are quite good, bu...

Hmm, seemingly out of the blue they've released a Nurgle team for the game. A variation of the normal Chaos team, but adding a couple of extra types.

Re: Movie mini reviews
Arrival Excellent film. Basically focused on what humanity does when presented with an alien race that's not trying to instantly murder them as per pretty much every other alien film. It's got some really clever bits, and the climax is a phone call :) Can't say much more without giving stuff away. ...

Re: Movie Trailers
From the scenes in that trailer, some are direct reproductions from the original, which I'd imagine are early scenes and it'll diverge a bit later. Good thing is that the original anime's director has been heavily involved in it, so I'm cautiously thinking it might actually turn out really well.

Re: Movie mini reviews
Dr Strange This is quite a good film and one I really enjoyed. Having a relatively unknown character has allowed Marvel to go off and make something quite interesting. The overarching plot is your standard story of rebirth and a big bad in the background, but it's got some quite nifty ideas in it, ...

So, they've just released the oft promised Customisable Safe House . I don't really care about that. What they have done is hired John fucking Cleese to do the VO work for Hoxton's butler. John Cleese! Also, Pro Jobs no longer exist, two new difficulties have been added. One between Overkill...

Re: Inspurgency!
So I went and bought the early access stand-alone of Day Of Infamy. It's alpha, but it's pretty good. Very much reminds me of Day Of Defeat on original Half Life, but with Insurgency's extra gubbins. Lots of classes, lots of guns, three (!) armies thus far, maps need a bit of polish but they're func...
